Pharos String Quartet

In Memoriam
Margaret Louise Bradley
23 Nov. 1979 - 9/10? July 2004
We'll miss you.

The Pharos String Quartet existed from 1992, when we formed rather haphazardly and I was bumming terrible violas off the public schools and the cellist still had a 3/4 size instrument, to 1996, when I deserted to go to college one year early. Personnel was Jessica Andrade and Margaret Bradley, violins, me (Leanne Rabesa), viola, and Seth Ament, cello (with occasional appearances by Liz Maloney or Nicole Beaudry, violins, or Andrea Gordon, cello). We studied with the Colorado, Anderson and Portland Quartets, and played in master classes for members of the Muir and the Vermeer and had a few coachings with Bernard Greenhouse. Anyway, pictures.

Pharos at Soundfest Here we are at Soundfest, displaying some of our trademarks - low stands, no shoes, and a tendency to take over any room we got stuck in for more than a day or two.

We love this pic - outside the Chateau Whistler Resort, displaying our fun matching dresses and Seth's tie. Francie Martin Silos shot this one. In Whistler, BC

My 16th birthday My 16th birthday - and we're licking frosting off the candles, thank you.

This one's from a photo shoot we did down at Nobska Lighthouse - too windy to even attempt a good hair day, though. Photo Shoot at Nobska

1995 Holiday Card This was our holiday card in 1995, we took it at some swanky club in Dartmouth where we had a gig. We liked matching outfits.
